Bosch EV14 Injector Latency

Post by JordanTr »

I'm new to Nistune and in the process of building an "SRed" KA24DE soon to be KA24DET for my Datsun 510. I've opted to go with GM 6.2L E85 injectors P/N 12609749 @ ~525cc/min.

I've pulled this table from the GM tunes but I'm wondering which latency to use. They all seem reasonable at ~720-790us. I have not switched the injectors out yet but the car is running with the SR CAS disc and SR Nistune with R8 coilpacks.

Is there an optimal latency I should start with based on those values at 14V or am I splitting hairs?

Thanks in advance for the help.

About 790uS is a good starting point. I normally start them at 850uS depending on injector size and after I've established base mixtures (stoich at cruise with near 0% fuel trims) I then adjust latency to get idle running nice
