Hi, I've moved to a standalone ECU on my Z32 TT, and it lacks enough free outputs to control the factory dual stage electric fan. The standalone also does not have the configurability Nistune provides (speed/ engine temp/ AC).
My thought was to use my Nistune'd ECU as an auxiliary fan controller, and share engine temp, VSS and AC signals with the main standalone ECU. Will no MAF and/ or CAS signals block the Nissan ECU from commanding the thermofan? It would not be surprising if the ECU ignored the AC input if there was no RPM or MAF signal.
I have a few spare harnesses to hack up for experimenting, but thought I'd save some aggravation if this is a no-go.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Using Nistune ECU as a piggyback
No MAF/CAS so the ECU thinks its just sitting there with key on (no engine running). You could see if that works (just key on with the Nistune ECU) before going through the trouble of wiring it all up
