RB20 Neutral Position Switch - Effect?

Quick question. Besides the Idle/decel timing table when in neutral, does the neutral switch on an RB20 have any other effect? Nissan set up both in neutral and out of neutral idle/decel timing tables identical, I'm presuming there's some other effect somewhere I have not seen.

Mainly timing. With other ECUs with VCT, it will affect that too
