Rev limiters

Can anyone fill me in on why more that 1 rev limiter? Same for the speed limiter?

Depending on the ECU, there is normally a 'soft' limit which will bounce but let you push through. It basically does a temporary injection cut to some/all cylinders. It will normally resume injecting once it goes below the RPM limiter

The second limiter is a 'hard' limit which does a full injection cut and generally does not recover until almost back to idle
