I thought I was swapping an N62 for an N60 into my custom housing but when I popped the lids both circuit boards have "N62" printed on them and their outside labels say otherwise. I wrote in the top left corner what they should be in blue marker.
The N60 (with N62 board) I pulled out of a running M30 that should have always been an N60.
The N62 (with N62 board) I bought used and seemed genuine to me, I used it to build my custom housing.
Reason for the swap: no more nistune, stock M30 ECU needs stock N60 MAF
So what's the deal? Do they just run the same board or should a true N60 have "N60" printed on the board?
MAF identification N62 vs N60

I've not seen this type, but both look lefit, but might have different calibrations in them

I don;t have a photo, but the type shown in this thread (inside) had silocone over the top of the circuitry

Re: MAF identification N62 vs N60
Agreed and Plugging in confirms it; the N62 (inside and out) runs the engine leaner than the N60 (outside label only) So I proceeded with the housing swap.
I also spotted some visual differences.
Yeah, that one looks like trash.Matt wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 7:03 pm viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1431#p9543

Interesting with the white paint over the IC and no NEC markings on that voltage regulator with the N62 (Z32) one. It should be a Hitachi IC like the N60
