Timing issues

Has anyone come accross a issue using nistune or stock ecu that the timing displayed on nistune / consult is a mile off when checking with a timing light. cas has beren installed correctly and checked with cover off as well as it having another cas.
car was running fine then started running poorly, is a s14 pre facelift with sr20det and nistune

Use consult active tests to force timing (otherwise disconnect TPS when warm to get about 15 BDTC)
