Stock CA: 382.8bhp & 326.2lbft @ the hubs

Post by Noz »

Just a bit of feedback on my NIStune-powered 200SX S13.

Had NIStune installed for 2 days (no issues whatsoever), and managed 382.8bhp & 326.2lbft @ the hubs on a DynaPack dynamometer. The run was cut short due to mechanical sympathy

Quick spec: 1030kg, standard 1.8 CA18DET (2 x standard headgasket + over-torqued head), T70 (Garrett T61) @ 1.7 bar, 510cc injectors @ 2.8bar :D

No knock at all. The AFRs are lean off-boost due to a leaking V-Band

Just like to say a big 'Thank You' to Matt for designing such a wonderful management option. This could well be the highest power from a non-forged CA, trying to find out what else is out there :D

Having a lot of fun exploring how far I can push the standard engine. With a new (fully forged) build on the way, I'm going to stick with NIStune (obviously) and standard ECU with a twin-MAF set-up.

Thats great! Thanks for the feedback. Is it possible to use the graphs at all on the website? Would be good to start using peoples results for some promotion to show what you can achieve with the factory ECU and NIStune :D

cheers

Matt - PM sent.

Hi Ed, spoke to you the other Saturday whilst you were working on the Rex, it was my mate (Ben) that asked you about mapping his VEMS. Small world, eh?

Yep! I thought the chances are good that I would cross paths with like minded car nuts with this kit. Its a total certainty really!

Couldn't get a power figure at SRR, power curve is a tad too steep for my tyres to cope

Hey Ed. Definately interested if you could email them through!

If anyone has any before/after graphs for various vehicles I am more than happy to include them along with your business name etc

cheers
