VTC cut

Post by kenbam »

Matt.

In order to set the VTC correctly (VG30DETT) i need to do two dyno runs, one with VTC complelty on and one with it completely off. Can i just do this by
1) setting vtc cut at a rpm higher than the dyno run rpm.
2) with the VTC cut set below idle.

Reason im not sure is i couldnt find anywhere that controls where VTC actually switches on at low RPM/low load.

thanks
Matt

If switching VTC completely off you could put the cut at 0 rpm and recover at high RPM (so it never reaches it)

These are under 'VTC solenoid RPM recover' 'VTC solenoid RPM cut'

You can also adjust the TP cut (I assume this is also the recover point... I didnt disassemble the Z32 code for this address file)

That is under 'VTC Solenoid Theretical Pulsewidth'
