Went really well, I ended up breaking pin 14 off of the bottom of the unit.. so I waited until I sobered up, checked the pin-out, it's ground.. buzzed it out to the solder pad located just below the pin.
jumpered it with wire, buzzed the whole unit out again, seems fine.. Haven't placed it in the car as yet.. turbo's out, hopefully it'll be in this week, I have a five day weekend lined up for getting the car ready for the track, and I just need tires, turbo, and this ecu working ;D

looks good.
yeh those pins can be a problem if you aren't too careful with them! i've bent a few in my time
make sure you glue gun the connectors on also, and the board into the ecu so it doesn't move when driving
i've got a bunch of snap on connectors for the next bunch of boards now so glue gun isn't required for those
let us know how it goes

aha, nice work,
i did the same job last weekend but there seems to be a difference between my ecu and yours: Mine has a second motherboard where the knocking signal is processed. After putting in the nistune and the Romulator there was not enough space enough to put the second board back to its origin position.
Could it be that this is a special euro or german-spec feature?
