o2 causing lean conditions?

Post by Rich S »

Hi guys, My name is Rich.
I'm working on an car I built for a friend:
S14 chassis
S13 blacktop
GT2871R turbo
Deatschwerks 760 Injectors
Z32 MAF

I followed the instructions on setting up a base map using the NISTUNE guide.

I did have to change my latency value for Idle a/f after setting up the K value @ 2500rpm with no load and the raw value of Zero. I was able to get the 2500rpm range (value 0) to ~ 14.7af. And Idle as ~14.7af also.

So now that that was set, I plugged the factory o2 back in and Idle shot up to 30:1af????

this complete setup is basicly all new with all new factory parts except the injectors and turbo. Those are non Nissan but brand new.

So my question after than long setup is..... Is it normal for the O2 sensor to cause 20:1+ af readings when its plugged in? If I unplug it or un-check the box from feedback, everything goes normal.

Thanks,
Rich

No it shouldnt do this. Question is ... does it work okay?

What is the voltage reading in the consult display (say in streaming mode) when cruising in closed loop conditions

On the log player it should alternate between 0 - 1 volts in a wave form. If it doesnt and is stuck at a particular voltage it could be maybe indicating too rich and causing ECU to go lean
