Am i going daft trying to interpret the tp value?

Post by olliecast »

hi everyone,
Trying to bottom a high idle problem on my rn14 pulsar.
In my old datascan it gave a reading of volts for the tps.
in nistune it gives a different digit number (see tp in the screen shot below below)

http://www.gtiroc.com/forums/attachment ... 1224706543

How do i relate this to the tps voltage in nistune? (just easier than loading up datascan each time)

Apologies if i`ve missed something easy)

Regards,
ollie

make sure you are looking at the right thing

TP = Theoretical pulsewidth (value used to calculate injection pulsewidth)
TPS = Throttle Position Switch (voltage typically 0 - 5 volts) relating to throttle position

after you first connect, make sure you have TPS 'ticked' in the list of consult registers

sorry I cant access that forum without getting an account on there. you can post pics on here if you wish

Thats right you can access that consult register table from the Operations menu list and re-enable it

using the S13 SR20DET address file?

are you in 'tuner mode'?

so you get a 'TPS' tick box but there is no guage, or it is reading zeroi?

What about streaming mode? Any different?

If that doesnt work, send me a debug log through and I can check that out
