initial start up

I am ready to start tuning and I set everything thing to TDC. Cams are where they are suppose to be, crank, distributor and everything. We set timing at 20 degrees and we give it a few reves then it pulls timing. Is there is something I should be doing? What am I doing wrong?

is the engine cold? Nissan ECUs can pull timing when its cold... and once its warmed up > 80 degreesC there is no timing pulled out

I've noticed that < 60 degreesC it will use idle timing maps

Working on the specifics of the operation at the moment and documenting so people know what their ECU is doing. Give me about a week and should have more more concise info
