Sorry not yet.....

I've just purchased a car several weeks ago so been spending the spare time getting that on the road all working (wiring in new alarm, guages, sorting out some issues etc)

Just about finished up with all those now, and then I'm back on to working on the software in the next week coming

In December I have some time available to. I plan to finish the Type 5 board at the start of that and work on autopatching code for the knock sensing work

Patcher will do the HCR32 firstly, and then I'll work on the BNR32 and Z32 next. For Type 1 I will be doing Z31/VLT and CA18

I started the HCR32 (Type 2) patcher updates several months ago and also S13 CA18 (Type 1) concurrently but that got stopped half way when I had to spent some time going through issues

I'll get started on those again. Its difficult stuff and needs a nice dedicated chunk of time to work on them and get it right first time

Any Update?

I have so many CA18DET powered guys here in South Africa ready to get there hand on this Nistune Software but they are not interested without the knock detection to them it just another base system without it. I really want to convert the guys over to this system because of the great tune ability and cost effectiveness when even compared to the major brands but without knock they don’t really care.

I will also be able set-up my timing map better instead of being very conservative. I cant explain to you how cool this update would be!

okay i've got semi working firmware for the VLT RB30ET.... also added code for Type 1 also into Nistune app software.

First trigger of the knock sensor is now detected by the app. Not resetting the count however from the looks of things. Need to investigate that further tomorrow

Since the patcher is done for VLT... i should be able to get the S13 CA18 working next quite easily now. More to come...

For the HCR32 code I hand patched the single ROM file and used an existing knock counter Nissan had in. For proper implementation I need to find a free RAM address on each type of ECU and then use that instead. There is no Type 2 patcher update as yet... but I do have the firmware updates done (which is half the work)

Once the Type 1 patcher is sorted and working on several then I can use that code on the Type 2 patcher since patcher code is similar in this regard

The thing is that I increase my counter when the ECU has checked and passed the condition of meeting knock. For each ECU type I must locate where this condition is satisfied and then inject the counter at that location, and then make the patcher locate and inject the code automatically for each ROM put through the patcher
