Reading a stock chip

Hey
Wondering if its possible to read a stock chip because the one on my board has been tampered with and the program is hotted up and substantially more aggressive than the program on the 86 turbo ecu i've been using..Id like to know what programs on it and if theres any way to get the information off the chip?
It was supposed to be an 87 Turbo ecu but on the cover the 28s been crossed out and 40 has been written next to it in texta..

you will need an EPROM programmer to read the chip out. Cheapest available are Willem ones or you can post it here and I can read it out for you
