dwell for spark

has anyone played with the spark dwell ? can we maximise it to get more spark ?

Saw an autronic CDI it was like a lightning bolt across the room... made me jealous... not too worried about the coil packs as I was thinking of getting splitfire ones and turning up the dwell...

any thoughts ?

From what I understand more dwell can wear stock coilpacks out earlier. Supposedly Splitfires can handle more dwell before failing.

As far as I know HKS Twin Power Ignition Amplifier does a similar job -

thats a CDI as well they do give an enormous spark...

where did you read about the splitfires handling longer dwells ?

would be keen to look at it..
