I tried to adjust the tps on my ka24 so that the ecu can read that the the throttle is fully closed at idle but no luck. I even tried to adjust the tps to the point where the engine would almost die out and still the tps light did not turn on. the TPS is checked under consult registers and is reading voltage in the consult gauges. Could it be a faulty TPS?
if this is the S13 KA24E we found a few days ago that the consult register for the Neutral/TPS idle flags seem to work differently compared to most Nissan ECUs
I'm going to have to rearrange how the flags inside this register are reported for this ECU. Probably the cause of the confusion
The tps idle turned on without the engine running when the tps was unbolted from the throttle body but the voltage seems way out of spec at .06 volts where it should be reading in nistune around .40 volts when the tps was still on the throttle body. I unbolted the tps sensor and used a multimeter to test the ohms. I moved the tps manually by hand to measure the WOT and its reading at 5.05 k ohms which should be approximately 4.0 k ohms. Also when letting it retract to idle position it reads .18 k ohms which should be at approximately .5 k ohms. So im pretty sure this concludes that my tps is faulty and needs replacement. If it werent for nistune to troubleshoot, i really dont know how i wouldve found out my tps was faulty. Nistune is AWESOME!
