I'm wondering if it would be possible to use the output of a wideband gauge (0v-5v) for the O2 sensor input. Could you just change the O2 lean and rich triggers in nistune to set the a/f ratio where ever you want while in closed loop with the wideband signal?
I'm interested because i want to run a lean curse for better mileage.
My wideband can also output a 0v-1v or 1v-2v wideband signal if 5v is to much and would fry something but there would be a lot less resolution than 0v-5v
stock ecu does a good job with narrowband 02 sensor. It nails that air fuel ratio right on. So I don't see a reason for using wideband but only for monitoring purpose
I know it does a good job around stoichiometric but i would like to run a lean cruse while in closed loop and the narrow band is not accurate when u get leaner than 15.5:1.
im not sure how high the circuitry on the ECU can take with the voltage. its designed only upto about 1.5 volts i would believe. A/D converter make take a full 5 volts but unsure
some wide bands have narrow band simulation.. like my plx smafr but i use that cause i can have a wideband in the narrowband spot and just simulate the narrowband for the ecu.. instead of having 2 o2 sensors..
