o2 sensor closed loop on coolant temp?

Does anyone know if the ECU use the o2 sensor feedback as soon as it sees the sensor is warmed up, or does it wait until the coolant warms up to a certain temp before it starts to "listen" to the o2 sensor?

Specifically for a 1993 ka24de S13.
