Dual ostrich + DB

Post by hottscennessey »

After a customer's car fried my SR20DET ECU along with the Calum RT board I had installed, I decided to try the dual ostrich and PLMS daugherboard route.

The PLMS daugherboard works fine with 2) 27sf512 chips
- I did have to edit the 'start' chip hex address with moates flash and burn from the default '007000' to '000000' for the daughterboard to read from the rom, and leave the 'end' hex as default.

Nistune uploads to both the ostriches perfectly, and works with many other programs flawlessly. Both ostriches have been upgraded to the firmware listed under nistunes downloads.

The ECU is not recognizing the image I burn to the ecu. When i start the car with the ostrich (using the same image fom my sf512's) the red LED on the ECU stays on. (hardware-error limp mode).

I blelieve the DB needs nistune to write to a different address in the ostrich?

thoughts?

set the emulator offset to 0000 in the S13 address file to get it working properly with PLMS S13 FLASH boards

I found that due to using those chips the normal 8000 offset is not hardwired

I'm glad that made sense to you Matt.

I've checked all the settings on Nistune for emulator offset, I've also opened the S13 address file in notepad to look for an emulator offset or a value of 8000 but had no luck.

Where would I find this emulator offset?

Edit:
Found the PDF where you outlined this. Sorry I seemed to overlook it.

I assume I just paste in
"EMULATOR_OFFSET=&H0000"

does it go on a certain line, or can I just paste it in at the very bottom?
