Inhibitor Switch

Post by DuoWing »

Hey I had a question and I figured this would be the place to ask since you guys have had so much experience working with the Type 1 ECUs, but over the course of wiring up my L28ET into my 76' 280Z I came across the inhibitor switch issue. I see that the inhibitor switch for the clutch or the P/N switch for automatics connects to the ECU. I don't know if this in some way can cause starting issues with the car? I was just curious if you happened to know how the inhibitor switch I believe pin 10 on the Z31 ECU interacts with it.

Thanks for any info.

pin 10 is the neutral switch input. it will not have too much affect apart from perhaps idling coeffiecients

that runs to inhibitor relay also which stops the starter from cranking on automatic transmission models
