Ignition signal output waveform for external drivers

Ignition signal output waveform for external drivers

If anybody could help me out.
I´m looking for the waveform of the ignition output signal to the ignition amplifier.

most specifically the voltage. The SR20 manual suggests 0.1-0.2v
But I need to verify this .
So if anybody has an oscilloscope and a few minutes that would be a great help.

Yeah, it's not a big voltage because it's driving into the "base" of a transistor. Which looks the same (electrically) as a diode to ground. So it'll be a pulse of 0.7v or less.

Can I safely assume it´s a square wave and in the square wave is the dwell information?

Is this true between the various multi coil nissan engines?

I.e they all have that sort of voltage signal to the ignition amplifier?

Is the signal current driven or voltage driven?

It shouldn't take a lot of current - as long as there's enough to turn a transistor on then you should be OK. I suspect as long as the voltage was around 1V. You'd only need a small current - under 100mA.
