Hi,
what HP max does a CA18DET MAF can handle?
As far as i can see on the software, its 190hp, but Stage 2 on a CA18DET has more than that and use stock MAF.
So, what is the real figures about this MAF?
Thanks

I made few experiments with that set up and load trace is usually out of map already on half throttle and You have no more control and those set-up's don't have much more power that those 190 HP.
EU S13 CA18 AFM is relict from CA18et (100kw) so get rid of it. RB, SR and KA AFM's are cheep and good enough for 99% cars with CA18 engines.

Yes, i understand that HP figures are not related with the AFM.
I asked that because i will mod a K11 Micra (with a supercharger) and i need to relocate the AFM, throttle body and air filter, and the stock
AFM and butterfly are very restrictive. So, using 1,2bar @ 14000rpm of supercharger speed on a 1.3, it will have something like 200hp.
A new setup is needed to get the full potential of the engine, and an AFM that reads correctly to over 200hp will be needed.
Should i get an SR20DET AFM in order to do a proper tune? Im using Type 4 Board adapted to work on the K11 NATS ECU.
Thanks

So, the 250hp max that nistune software indicates for a SR20DET AFM its correct. Many thanks, i will source a SR20DET AFM for my Micra project.skylinegtrhr wrote:I didn't maxout SR20DET AFM with standard SR20det engine and GT28RS (but on only 0,8 bar another experiment it had 0,5 V less than maximum flow) so I think it will be enough for Micra.
