Z32 manual ECU question

Post by pexzed »

I notice there is a soft rev limit feature, but it doesn't seem to do anything in my case.
Is this only an adaptation that can be effective as a protective measure for the auto gearbox??
Can it be adapted to be speed orientated in the manual ECUs, so as to allow a rev limit while at 0 km/h, thus enabling better launch control while attempting 1/4 mile passes?

I suspect there is something wrong with the Neutral sensor switch.

This particular rev. limiter only works when the neutral switch is on.

I've had this very idea for a long time. Even tried sending 5/12/earth to this cable on the ecu to get a reaction but no..

Can someone maybe shed some light on this?

When you tested the neutral switch did the light on the consult view window activate when expected?

This is experiences from the old engine, not the RB30.

When i tested it out, standing still, the light was on at idle and when i rev'd it it went off. Same on the RB30 actually, so something is appaerently sensing something :)
