A little idea :
Add an ignition adjustement in the LC pannel, to compensate a CAS offset.
Basically, put the CAS in a negative angle, let's say -10°, tell the ECU you offset the CAS by -10° to advance 10° of timing in every map and settings except in LC conditions to be able to have negative ignition for LC.

Is it possible this?I have a Nissan 300zx and I want to make pop and bang with -10/-15 degree.

It would be easier to adjust the LC code than to adjust all the timing tables and offsets used. I'll consider it for the next updates

It is not a feature pack supported model, so unless we get quite a few people wanting it, it is not on the implementation list

Hi all, new to the forum and to tuning but just had a Nistune board fitted and tuned by Jez at hdev in the UK for our S14a. The results are fantastic and we also added launch control but my son wanted to see a few flames which we don't see (although we have some pops and bangs over 4400 rpm). Jez mentioned something about hardware support for the ignition timing but I didn't really this follow up. Is it possible to see a few flames using launch control to keep the kid happy?

You can pull timing down to 0 deg BDTC. Most ECUs I cannot make negative timing (yet)
You can also put extra fuel on decel as part of the tune around when you bounce off the limiter

Hi Chris, ok yeah that makes sense, does 'yet' means it will be included at some point in the future? Sorry haven't checked my ECU part number yet but its a 1999 S14a SR20DET

Yet means it might be possible with some ECUs. I'm keen to have a play around with it when I get time, but I need to finish up the patching for the SR20s ECUs with the FP1.1/FP2.1 firmware since that is still half done

It pretty much says on the page
The Bee Racing Rev Limiter cuts ignition when the rev limit has been hit, ensuring protection of the engine in all conditions.
FEATURES
Cuts ignition on hitting a rev limit
Fuel cut is not used, therefore flames can appear as fuel is dumped out of the exhaust
Ignition cut is preferred over fuel cut. Fuel cut, as used on many standard vehicles, risks damage to high performance engines when at high revs.
Last part is debatable. Most OEM use fuel cut AFAIK
