Hey Matt I learnrd some things about the following platforms that should have perhaps some attention brought to them:
1994-1997 B14 SR20DE
These ECU's join both pin 41 and 45 as the "Camshaft Posistion Sensors (Posistion Signal)".
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1994-1996 P10 SR20DE ECU
1998-1999 B14 SR20DE ECU
1999 P11 SR20DE ECU
These ECU's only have pin 41 as "Camshaft Posistion Sensor (Posistion Signal)".
So the issue is anyone using a 1994-1997 B14 ECU on the following platforms is going to run into a wiring issue because these cars lack the extra wiring in there harness for the extra Camshaft Posistion Sensors (Posistion Signal) required for a B14 ECU.
1994-1996 P10
1998-1999 B14
1999 P11
Now I know this thread is old and I remember asking you if it is possible for you to do my 99 ECU a while back and the answer was no not yet, perhaps was this an issue when you bench test these ECU's?
I know that using a 94-97 B14 ECU on a 99 P11 and 98-99 B14 has a miss at idle and just doesnt feel right however though the car is drivable but you can tell somehting isn't right.
Just some food for though, there is many more differences to I can share in my findings with regaurd to wiring but im not expert in electronics but somehting tells me the electrical architecture on the 94-97 B14 ECU is different than the 94-96 P10, 99 P11 and 98-99 B14.
