That power figure from a GT3071r on only 15psi in the top range is absolutely incredible, most people are making that on the 76mm with more boost.
I don't think I've seen the 71r make more than 270kw before. How does this dyno's figures compare to others? I realise at the end of the day it is just a tuning tool.

Pete can tell you how it measusres, most of the graphs on the PLMS website give an indication of SR20s on that dyno which we could use for comparison
Same dyno from 220rwkw to 280rwkw with the 3071 (+60rwkw) and then 300rwkw with Poncams (+20rwkw)

I can totally understand why you're sceptical. I wouldn't believe it myself if I'd not seen it with my own eyes.
That dyno reads about middle of the road (seen some local dynos read higher and some lower) - I've tuned heaps of different cars on it and it gives reliable figures, although the boost response always shows slower response than it really is. Once max boost is reached then it is accurate. But the ramp up shows slower on the graph than in real life.
For some reason Matt's car has ALWAYS made more power than it should. I've checked all the dyno settings and they're the same as I always use. And we've had the car on the dyno numerous times and it's consistent.
Even on the original baseline run it made more power than other R34's. Most I've seen will give around the 200rwkw mark with std turbo plus FMIC and better exhaust. Matt's made 220 straight up - without even tuning the ECU. I can only attribute this to the previous owner fitting quality parts - intercooler and exhaust are both top shelf Japanese items.
And then to go to 280 with the 3071 was punching above it's weight again. Poncams always seem to give another 20rwkw. Every SR20 I've fitted them to gives the same. So I was interested to see if they'd do the same on Matt's car - given that the turbo was clearly out of breath. But as per usual the Poncams delivered!
On the road it definitely drives like it's making the power. It's a real winner - and still nice and responsive.
The funny part is that Matt doesn't really care that much. He's not a horsepower junky...

So again and again conclusion is same
top quality parts make power ...

BTW Matt did You mention earlier that You are going to test blow through set up with HPX AFM?

Its on my R31 fitted but not in use (I've got two AFMs on there!) but plans are in the next week now I have more time to tune this up

Oh also, I'm assuming the turbo has a 0.82 rear end?

Know what I will be upgrading to if I get bored of my highflow!

Yeah, 3071 with 0.63 rear is a winner. GTX series would be even better!

Havent had a chance to tune it up yet.... still sitting on the car waiting
My Z32 AFM is stuffed on the R31 now so I have no choice but to use the HPX!

Final GTS 2 run with high flow T03 turbo, straight through 3" exhaust system upgrade, ER34 MAF (got close to maxing this one out) and GTR injectors
Of all things to happen, the Bosch fuel pump has stopped working on my (suspected something strange going on when started leaning out during recent road testing). So pulled out the fuel pump on the dyno and wired in a walbro instead. Almost four hours later...

It actually tuned up quite quickly once the fuel pump issue was sorted. Like most RB30's - they do go very well once all the issues are taken care of.
Just gotta fix that little lean patch off idle...
