Just got my KA-T to run just fine however under deceleration my afr's are dipping into 11s and 12s. Any idea on how to perform a fuel cut when decelerating? From what i hear nissans are supposed to cut the fuel automatically. ALso my speed sensor is not reading in nistune consult gauges could this be a factor?

maybe it is the idle switch on the TB... in the consult is idle coming on when you are in neutral and on idle... this confirms the tps closed and the need to cut fuel... I think...

Nissans have a fuel cut table. I *think* I've found the one for the S13 series which is in the address file but I need someone to confirm if it does what we expect

The cut table is indexed by temperature, and the RPM shown for a set temperature is where the cut is performed. Once the recover RPMs are reached in the fuel recover table then injection resumes

These require a valid speed input (usually greater than 20km/h) before using these tables

If consult has speedo selected but nothing shown then you will need to investigate your speedo input from the transmission to the ECU (does yours go via the speedo cluster like some Nissans do?)

Not sure what would be the use of this but if you have something to test for the CA let me know.

Yeah the tps idle comes on from time to time but most of the time i dont see the tps idle on... not sure what the cause of this is. I did notice that when i run the car for awhile the tps idle wont come on but when i turn off the car and let the car sit for a bit, then start it again the fuel cut occurs when letting of the throttle. Pretty interesting... As far as the speedo ill have to see why its not reading in nistune, at first the speedo shows up just fine but now doesnt work. Im pretty sure that the speedo is connected to the cluster like you said. I also tapped my turbo xs knocklite onto the speed sensor wire that goes into the ecu so maybe thats upsetting the signal possibly?

maybe it is your tps... only thing to know now if it has 6 pins or three pins ? the 6 pins has a tps closed switch in it... and needs to be adjusted per service manual... if it has three wires it actually uses the voltage and this can be set in the nissan ecu by turning the ignition on and off 20 times as per factory service manual.. or you can just rotate it slightly to see when it comes on.. I dont know if nistune supports it though..

the TPS idle comes on when the engine is warm and the throttle is fully closed.. factory is 0.5 volts but mine is 0.36v cause it must have been reset..

dont expect it to come on until warm cause the engine uses the fast idle cam to move it open and slowly closes as it warms up..

I just replaced my old tps which were giving me bad readings with another one so i know for sure the tps i have now is good. As far as the pins it is the 6 pins. So i think your right about the warming up thing, i haven't checked if the tps idle switch is turned on yet because i dont have a laptop hooked up but based on my wideband readings the fuel cut is working when the throttle is released. However still rich sometimes on decel so maybe i need to do some minor adjustments to the tps.

well if you just replaced it it may not be exactly the same as the old one and may need to be adjusted... if you have the factor service manual it is as easy as..

Yep adjusted the tps and now fuel cut works thanks.
