from automatic to manual transmission

Is it possible to use a S14a manual Nistune board on an automatic transmission ECU? I have a friend who wants to convert to a manual tranmission but he wants to know if he can somehow keep using his AT ECU, considering it takes a lot of work to swap ECU's due to the Nissan alarm.

If the ECU has NATS (Nissan Antitheft system) then installing a board with manual ROM is a good work around to buying another ECU which would need recoding

So NATS code is in ECU image which I download with Consult?
And when I install new ECU with Board from old ECU it will work without recoding NATS?

NATS is in the ECU itself, nothing to do with the ROM image
This is why you can change ROM images... but changing ECUs is different. The NATS code needs to be rekeyed with the ignition module
I am planning to add the rekey code to consult but its not in there yet
