ive got both a stage 1 map and a stage 2 maps from off the shelf chips in the uk for my sr
now im running a stage 2 map currently but the timing isnt very great in the centre to the end of the map its 12 degrees
now ive obtained a newer stage 1 map and the timing map on that is alot better optimised
since in theory the only thing between the newer stage 1 mapping and the stage 2 mapping is my 555cc injectors, can i run the stage 1 timing if i get the afrs as they should be? if i rescaled my maps to the same etc etc
'stages' are typically used as an advertising feature more than capabilities of tune. I'm almost tempted to pull the pictures from this thread because they are releasing part a commercial tune (intellectual property + copyright)
My only recommendation here is to get the tune done properly rather than drop in pretuned chips without a real understanding why one tune is different from the other and how much boost you are runing
Set up the level of boost you require, make sure your AFRs are correct, and then do the timing maps and use headphones to keep an eye on knock as you adjust the maps. Then you can get the timing maps optimal for your configuration. If timing maps are different between two identical setups (apart form injector size then they may be squeezing more power out of one setup but then again boost levels may be different or how boost ramps up etc)
the injector latency on a sr with nismo 555cc should be set to 710us?
currently its set to 580us?
ive had a problem where a one piont or another ive merged it with a stock map and it changed alot of settings so im trying to get it all back to normal for my setup
if i can the latency to 710us will it push more fuel through? cause its running rich enough as it is
