Hey all.

Just got my nistune, Cant work out why it keeps disconecting from the ecu to the pc. Have added more earths but still no go.

Is any one kind enough to do a tune for me?

My car is a vl commodore 5 Speed manual (Non turbo), N/A converted so the motor is A6 high compression turbo setup.

My setup consists of the following

N/A Injectors
T04E turbo on custom high mount extractors
External wastegate
oil and water cooled
Big front mount intercooler
VLT intake and external fuel pumps
Malpassi rising rate fuel regulator
N/A intake plenum, soon to be forward facing when it arrives

if theres any other info you need please ask me

only running 5 pounds of boost atm as i turned it down

I plug my nistune in and it idles like a prick and when i goto put my foot on the gas it struggles and wants to back fire and shit but once the revs are up its sorta ok

thanks in advanced

yeah not sure why yours is disconnecting so much. usually fixing grounds etc would solve it. did you try rattas laptop with this one?

Aren't they a side feed injector, and your VL's a top feed, or did you get a conversion rain to suit ??

Describe the disconnect problem your having, at high RPM perhaps ??

Have you checked that the engine has a good earth to the vehicle body and battery ?? I've seen plenty of problems on this particular connection. Does it drop out when your engine is NOT running or only when the engine is running?? What type of laptop are you using?

sounds like induced noise, have you tried another ECU and board, in the event that your ECU has problems when running?? I've a couple of ideas. go to your local dick smith store and get a P/N R5120. clip this on your USB cable close to the ECU.. Did you install the Nistune board yourself ?
