While I cant actually see knock counters etc in my nistune (they are 0 all the time, im probly doing something wrong).
I can see from my logs and when knock is detected timing is dropped.
I want to know:
If knock is detected, when will the main maps be used again?
How long after knock is detected until main maps used

Knock counters are testing only. currently only available on _some_ of the earlier ECUs (no SR20s yet)
Re: How long after knock is detected until main maps used
Fair enough,
I assume the ecu still detects knocks and jumps to the knock maps though (It appears it does from the logs).
How long after knock occurs will the engine start using the base map again? Eg 1 second after or is it so many rpm? or until the knock signal dissipates?

Re: How long after knock is detected until main maps used
the ECU receives knock pulses when the signals received by the ECU pass through a frequency filter
there is a set number of knock pulses before switching maps. Not sure on how many with SR20 yet (this is part of the pending investigation) but a certain amount pull timing and further counts will switch maps
