Still don't get increase fuel table.

If it isnt a problem or a suggestion it probably goes here.

Still don't get increase fuel table.

Post by modulation »

I asked about this about a year ago and I thought I understood it, but I don't.

When I floor my car, the AFR's at first are too rich (as the TPS voltage rises to max.)
Once at WOT TPS voltage, the AFR's are as they should be.

Could some one just explain to me what I need to do in order to fix the problem?
When the ECU references the same cells under WOT the AFR's are fine, but when it's referencing those cells right when I go WOT it's too rich, so I believe its referencing the accel increase enrich table but I don't understand what I need to do so that it won't be so rich.

Attached is a image of what I'm talking about, notice the AFR dip really low right when I floor it.

If my K constant was off would that cause this?

When TPS voltage hits the value in the accel increase it hard codes a TP value of 255 (which doesnt get reported by consult). That makes it reach the end of the fuel maps

Lower the initial part of this table to make it use the 255 value earlier (lower TPS voltage trigger)

Thanks Matt!
Makes much more sense now.

On the ka24de with the current version of nistune it appears the "increase fuel" and "throttle" enrich maps are the same although one says throttle vs. tps voltage, and the other says throttle vs coolant temp enrichment. Is this a bug?

yes it is. some discussion in the 'bugs' section about this one where I'm investigating. I've fixed it up for the next release

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1380

probably best to continue any discussion in that thread

Thanks again for the help. It drives so much better now when I go WOT.
