Nistune crashing when updating to ecu

hey all, new here so please bare with me. I have an r31 skyline with a type 1 usb board. Has been turbo'd with all the stock vlt stuff bar the turbo, been dyno'd and tuned to suit. We just changed the injectors to gtr injectors and i had my map modified and saved onto my usb stick so we could up that onto the ecu once the new injectors were on. Unfortunately nistune is crashing when i try and up it to the ecu. I dint get a chance to save the log file of the crash as i dint have much time at my mates to try and do it. It was saying something about vq maps not being loaded and then it would crash. Sorry about being so vague but its been a long as day and i dont exactly recall what it was saying. I'm going to try with my laptop and see if we get the same message, but if anyone has had this sorta thing happening please let me know how you fixed it. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thnx

I have an open problem report on similiar crash with R31 Skyline.

What is the part number reported by the board inside Nistune? Are you using a VL turbo ROM image to start with

Does it crash when you do the sync?

yep when i try again tomoz ill get all the info for you. its a type 1 board on a r31 auto ecu. i was trying it with a cj31 address file as thats what i think the tune was started with? i did email it to you though so youll be able to tell me what its based off. it crashes when i try sync it to the ecu. when i tried pulling the map from the ecu it also had an error, something to do with vq maps? ill take screen shots of it all tomoz and put em up here if they still happen with another computer...

ok so, i used my laptop and it all worked fine. although i wasnt using the latest beta so im not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. either way its all good now

good. this is the second time someone has had crash issues with that address file

not sure if its related but I cant make those particular crashes happen here. The other case has also replaced laptop motherboard+ram but still an issue

I'll give the CR31 another shot but almost identical to VLT address file which gets used lots and no issues there?!

interesting. the laptop it was crashing with was with an amd chip/board mine is a intel chip/board. not sure if that has anything to do with it, but if you want i can plug his laptop back into mine and do the crash again and get the log file? also just a quick question, i did the resize injector option and now when i look in injector multiplier it has a value of 358. is that right for gtr injectors?

I did notice the CR31 MT BIN file was 32K instead of 16K but thats about it

From 548 to 322 is what I get in the injector resize dialog as a starting figure

If you have the steps to cause the crash then wont need the log file so much, but log file will help

ahh k so 358 is what it should be then with my map. umm steps were, start nisutne, load cr31 address file, click consult, open the bin file i had, click sync to ecu, then it would start and get to the vq maps and crash. let me know if you want the log file still.
