Just recently got type 3 board and i have a pretty solid timing map for 93 octane, I'm not sure what that is in RON rating, but in the states we got cam2 which is leaded 110 octane. My question is what kind of timing can i add, and does cam2 require a 11.8-12.1 wot afr? I have a blacktop sr with gt2871r .64 at 18lbs, stock manifold, turbo back 3" and the all the other goodies associated with that, around the top about 6500-7500 i have about 19-21 degrees of timing on 93.

waay to much timing. Average should be more 10-15 degrees @ 18psi on 98 ron fuel.

Are you in the US? Over there they use PON instead of RON, which is like an average of RON & MON. Basically 93 octane in the US is 98 RON in the UK. As said, too much timing up top, have you checked for det? Hear anything on the det-cans? 18psi is approx 1.25 bar of boost. On cars I have done running T28's at 1.2 bar boost (about 17.4 psi) or even 1.0 bar (14.5 psi) I couldn't run anywhere near as much as 19-21 degrees without them detting. That was running on Shell V-Power in the UK which is 99 RON.

As for your AFR's yes it would still be about 11.8 AFR, however you say this cam2 is leaded fuel. You do realise you will kill your cat-converter if you run leaded fuel through it?

3" back no cats, I've decided to run meth injection which i haven't got around to installing. I've been having trouble with my knock sensor on my sr, which leads me to another question. I know the type 1 board can actually see knock in realtime on nistune, but does it work for the sr20det with type 3? I made a homemade knock detection kit from a hearing amplifier and i didnt hear any det at 19-21 degrees.

no havent got those ones working yet. they dont have a knock board for me to intercept the signal and simulate it so much more difficult
