(Z32) Idle / Deceleration RPM timing?

Post by Torque »

Hi there,

I was wondering what this table is used for and why there is no graph?

Cheers ....

This is the table used for decel and idle. Subract value from 128 to find actual timing. I can't remember the exact issue but under certain circumstances the timing will go to zero if the main timing table is over the decel timing or something like that.

enable 'filtered tables' in File-Configuration for it to view correctly

+128 is added to these tables for knock flags

Thank you ... very interesting!
So the trigger for this might be a closed TPS?

So why would I have knock detection turned on, while being in decel or idle?
Very strange .... :)

Hi Bernardd,

That's exactly what I experienced yesterday while experimenting with the (idle) tables.
For some unknown reason my idle timing went to 0.

Which table do you mean by 'mean-table' ?

If the decel timing table are under what the main timing map is calling for, the timing will drop to zero until a certain condition is met. I can't for the life of me remember what it was but if you raise the values in the decel table to above 20deg's or 148 it would stop going to zero on decel. I don't have access to my binfiles right now but I when I do I'll look and see what it was I changed.
