Apologise for little OT,
we always use JECS injectors even 740cc on SR idle without any problems ,once we use DENSO EVO9 injectors on CA and idle was always rich(we didn't play with resistor pack maybe there was problem).
Do You have any first hand experience with Injectors Dynamics injectors as " they are supposed to be the ultimate after market injectors '' and 740cc are biggest JECS available so if we will need bigger quality injectors should ID be first option?
I read about but never see that video on which B16 is idling stoic with ID 2000cc injectors(and of course You can't believe something on YouTube ), so really like to hear someone first hand experiences

ID injectors are just rebadged Bosch injectors.
ID made adapters for the injectors, so they can be used for a wider range of fuelrails.

good injectors though and have very good response times even at very small pulsewidth values

I second this question, as they have JECS side feeds that go as high as 1100cc I believe. Romchip do you have any experience with the fiveos?

Not JECS but remanufactured/Custom Milled

so really wouldn't like to experiment with them, JECS/Bosch works great with our Nissan ECU's so no need to complicate our life

I've never really had problems with either DW and JECS injectors.
Only injectors to avoid like the plague are Venoms...

I have DW 740cc (side feed with phase 2-phase 1 fuel rail adaptation kit) at the moment and run E85 blend.

I ordered them end of 2008. After 4 months, one injector failed, the coil showed 300-400ohms when hot, 12 ohms when cold.
I sent them back to get it replaced, DW didn't succeed in reproducing the problem
They decided to replace the full set, and since, no trouble (fingers crossed as changing injectors on 300zx is a pain, even if I milled the plenum).
The problem with DW is the injector body really shows they are used ones, when you get 6 injectors, some have fade colors ...
Next time, I will buy the Fiveomotorsport ones, really cheaper compared to DW, for more or less the same stuff .... some re-drilled injectors.

Note: I don't have permanent +12V on injectors anymore, they are powered only when ignition is switched on.

I had some troubles in stabilizing idle at the beginning, I had to put 1.12ms for latency. This is a pretty high value to my mind, usually stock Nissan injectors are in the 0.65-0.75ms area. If these DW re-drilled injectors are some oem 370cc (DW told me "They are the standard phase II “370cc” side feed injectors that were used in the SR20DET and RB25DET. "), I don't understand why the latency is so high.

Later, I got this from Mike (DW 740cc):
The latency time for the 740’s is below. 6v-17v in 1v increments:
3.36 2.63 2.25 1.94 1.71 1.57 1.40 1.30 1.22 1.12 1.08 1.00

On the other hand, Fiveomotorsport answered me their 750cc uses the original 270cc injector - Nissan OEM for 300ZX.

I cannot assume that. I just rewired by precaution.
Maybe vibrations affected the coil or the E85 ate into the resin protecting the coil ....

I gotta agree with Mr. Wolf on this one. Why the hell do people insist on saving money on injectors when they've often just spent big $$$ on an engine build? It's crazy.

Over the years I've only had bad experiences with drilled out injectors in SR's. Every time an owner tells me that they've got "hi-flowed" injectors I wince. And then proceed to explain to them what they're doing and why it's bad. Most don't understand until they have it explained to them. Invariably their reply is that they've been flow tested and matched. Then we start tuning and the wheels start to come off. Or at a minimum their idle quality/fuel economy just isn't what it should be.

Worst case of course is that one injector doesn't match the others and one pot leans out. Bye-bye engine. Hello angry and frustrated call from owner. It happens.

Don't risk it - if you have an SR20 then just get new JECS injectors! Have a look at the 4 laser-drilled holes in them. Can some guy with a drill match that? Have you seen the spray pattern that factory JECS injectors achieve? It's pretty sweet! Anybody who has tuned an SR with JECS 740's will know that you can achieve amazing idle quality and fuel economy even with these comparitively large injectors.

Most people these days know that JECS injectors are used by many of the aftermarket suppliers - so they're easy to source and reasonably priced. If you're getting injectors for your SR20 from Nismo, HKS, Tomei or Apexi (there are others) then they're JECS (now owned by Bosch anyway.....).

While I'm on my injector soap box - don't use Sard injectors in your SR20. It's pretty obvious that they were never designed to fit an SR. Their shoddy collection of oversized O-rings and adaptor collars proves it. And then you still need to snip the connectors off your wiring loom and splice the Sard connectors in! I've even heard of the top O-ring blowing out under high boost applications and causing a fire.

The last tune I did used Sard injectors and I had to call off the tune due to one of them totally flooding the cylinder ever time the engine was started. Admittedly they were a used set but the owner insisted that they'd been checked and flow tested! He's lucky he didn't fill the pot with fuel and bend a conrod. He replaced them with another set of Sard injectors - not wanting to go through the process of swapping the connectors over again (!). Oh well - it's his engine.

Owners just don't understand how critical injectors are to an engine. But some of them will only learn once they're on a first name basis with their engine builder.

I'm a bit lost with the JECS 740cc for Nissan 300zx (btw 740 or 750cc !?).
Some are phase 1 (pintle) , some are phase 2 (pintless).
Some people reported some repetitive failure with JECS 740cc (some bought from Czp).

Which JECS 740cc are new, remanufactured or redrilled !?
Could you post a link of a vendor selling some NEW JECS 740cc for the 300zx ?

Our injectors are custom-mill ed from brand new American/German/Japanese-made fuel injector "cores" in large-quantity batches to achieve the highest quality product.
The resulting sets are all-fuels rated; including gasoline (MTBE), and E-85. The finished injectors are then flowed and inscribed with a control number. Data is recorded for each injector. They are then hermetically-sealed and placed in matched sets ready for shipping.
You don't get this kind of technology from an OE injector.
