Have you ruled out the fuel supply, regulators, pumps etc?
does lowering boost reduce the backfiring?
checked based timing?
sounds more mechanical, can you post a data log to give some indication of what we are dealing...

This sounds like quite a mixture...
Part number on the ECU casing? This would be a good start
What ROMs are you running in the ECU?
You should really use the original RB30 loom so it matches the engine (they are cheap here in Australia) but if you can get the other loom working then I guess that is okay
You will need to upgrade the injectors to something decent (200CC is not enough on an RB30) at least 269CC (VLT brown) or 444CC (GTR yellow) on the current fuel rail
Are you running Nistune at all? You talk about tunerpro which is not supported on these forums
