Dwell duty cycle and dwell time igintion probblems

Post by gts_junior »

Hey guys

So I have been having a misfire issue at high rpm for a while now finally I believed I have found the cause, I have replaced the ignitor pack with a 300zx one, put a z32 maf, okada booster ignition amplifier, and a new coil pack harness, I did replace the coils with a set of super spark ones a while ago, now after doing a resistance test last night I believe they are burnt out. I have only had them for three years and they were brand new. I do believe they are burnt due to the "dwell duty cycle and dwell time ignition values" Now before I buy and put a set of splitfire coils in and the problem reoccurs down the road I would like to know if its a possible that the values in the dwell tables are correct or out of whack. attached is the entire map that I have been using which has been tuned.

Thanks

Rob

Okay I figured out what car you were using (BIN file HCR32 11U00) and compared against the stock 11U00 using the Nistune compare feature. There is nothing out of the ordinary with the maps synced out and the dwell time and duty tables are stock

okay, thank you Matt, do you think I should adjust the values for the splitfires or just leave them the way they are ?
