knock code 34 error Flag

Ive had this code thrown in my Nissan consult forever, Ive avoided dealing with it b/c the sensor is most likely bad. Because of that I've unchecked the knock sensor in the consult and disconnected it / unplugged it from the car. I can hit whatever boost I set my controller to but Im wondering if it still retards my timing. Anyone know?

It may still retard your timing with the flag being unticked for knock because of the fault code

I would recommend using 470K ohm resistor against the knock wire to ground if you want to remove it
