Increased rev limit versus maps and scalers

Post by Hal »

Hi all,
Have been pondering what the ecu does with the maps/scalers if revs are allowed to go to, say 8000 rpm, given that the maps only translate up to around 6000 rpm?

It will use the timing/injection values in the top row that are currently highlighted by the map tracing

Ah sorry, not thinking about this correctly.
rpm doesn't affect tp much, load is the predominate driver of tp, therefore that the maps stop at 6000 is neither here no there, the values will be pretty much the same at 8000 anyway.

you could always set your scalers so you can adjust values to your new rev limit?
