take a CA18DET standard rom
then go to afm resize, pick the Z32 VG30DETT afm, comit charges, save the file, reopen it go again to AFM, and ..... the software will not recognize anymore the type of the AFM used.

the cause i belive is because the Z32 VQ map is truncated when it is instaled in a CA18DET bin file.

maybe this problem can be fixed, by recognizing a truncated part of a VQ map or by inserting (do not know if it is posible) all the VQ map in the CA18DET bin.

yep this is an issue but only with CA18

you are right, because the map gets trunctuated, it no longer gets recognised. i would have to add a special case for CA18 using the smaller maps

you are able to relocate stuff in the code, to allow the use of the full 64point VQ maps.
I have this setup on my NISTUNE board.

And how are you doing that please ? :P

PS : it's easyer to send a pre-tuned BIN file to Matt before ordering the Nistune board

I dont know how its done, someone else figured out how to relocate stuff in the stock bin, to allow for the 64point VQ map.
its in the code, so I have this code saved as my base code, so any VQ map I use, has space for the large VQ map.

I just sent Matt my bin file with this code in it.

yes it's what I've said : you tuned the code and you send the file to Matt in order for him to burn that in the NVRAM of the board ;)
