Ignition problem at idle

Post by ACF »

Have a z32 -91 MT , with a AT ecu.
Been running with Nistune a few years.
Started up the car a few days ago and conected laptop with updated software to do a few changes before technikal checkup.
After loading new rompack as prompted the car started to act strange. At idele Nistune show -1 deg, strobe show 5.
Have even seen -80 deg just before car died.
If I just get over 1500-2000 rpm car runs ok and show ignition as in timing table.

Were can I find witch rompack that is right, picked the one I found most fitting.

Post your current tune here. Nothing has changed in the ROM packs at all in relation to Z32 (apart from adding files for different vehicles)

I suspect some tables are not correct in the ECU at the moment?

There are several problems...

- Gear knock fuel map and knock timing map empty (copied primary fuel map to other fuel maps, copied timing map to knock timing map)
- Load Scales are actually less than factory values which does not seem right (copied factory scalers back)
- RPM/Throttle enrich tables have been changed... put those back to factory for now
- Cold/neutral timing tables don't look right so fixed those up (values of 255)
- Idle stabilization retard/advance changed. Put it back to factory for now
- Timing retard in Knock limit tables has been increased

Attached is an updated file. compare it against your current file to see the changes before uploading to your board to test out. I'm not sure on the knock map you had in there, since it was choppy and leaner in places than the fuel map
