Hello Matt
Can I kindly ask you to check below picture of early Z31 ECU, if Nistune board should be installed at direction as pictured?
Thank you

Re: Early Z31 ECU installation
it looks correct in comparison to the direction of other IC's around it.
to be sure, look at the semi-circle at one end of the printed pattern on the ecu board.
match it up with the semi-circle on the nistune board.
every IC has a notch, a dot (meaning pin 1) or a semi circle at one end to identify the direction it goes in the PCB.
the nistune board one can be clearly seen on top of the board in your picture on the right hand side of the rectangular print on the Nis Board.

Re: Early Z31 ECU installation
Thanks for hint, that make sense.
Re: Early Z31 ECU installation
I really hate these earlier model ECUs because the number of changes required and very delicate tracks
Yes the orientation is correct (cresent at top of board). However why is there an angle to the board compared to other chips?

nistune board is not fitted to the socket at all, just placed there for reference.
