So, I had a good working copy of Nistune, but I was forced to update and now I can't even get it to open. I believe my old tunes got erased as well, but I may have a backup of those. Has anyone encountered this error? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the Nistune software (v0.12.11 and v0.15) and the ROM pack. I'm not sure what else to try.
Here's the error:
12.11 upgrade... now I get an error and can't open Nistune

that look more like a C++ error not directly to nistune.
A microsh1t update has probably broken it.
try checking the version of C++ redistributable installed and either reinstall or update.
from memory Matt did include the latest C++ files in the lastest few builds though... very strange.

What version were you running previously?
What operating system version are you running at the moment?
I'm not sure what is causing this error on your PC but I can confirm it starts and runs fine on windows XP, 7 and 8 testing here. Perhaps uninstall the Nistune application and reinstall again. This will clean out any previous settings that may be causing the problem
The installation packages do not touch your ROM files, even if you uninstall them. I would suggest searching for *.BIN to find where you may have saved them

I was running 10.21 previously. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything and I still get the error.
They loaded some encryption software on my laptop last wee at workk, and I'm wondering if that has something to do with it. I also noticed that it asked me about installing 64-bit drivers, which I accepted. Maybe that's got something to do with it..? I'm running Windows 7, Service Pack 1.

Best place is google for this one:
http://www.bitdefender.com.au/support/h ... -1106.html
Reinstall the 2010 re distributable package:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... px?id=5555
We have it here also if you run it from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\NIStune\vcredist_x86.exe
Select the 'repair' option
