RB20DET TP spike

Hi everyone,

Some days ago, tuning a RB20DET, i found (consistently) a spike in the TP at medium RPM range (pic attached)
if the reason was a slipping clutch, RPM should spike too...
I can't find any problem in tables, what can produce this kind of spike?

Edit: MAF signal has the same shape and TPS is stable at wot.
Sadly i don't have a boost log but in the controller graph (PROFEC E01) it seems to get steady state fast and with minimal overshoot.

Can you post the log file? If AFM spikes then TP will follow since TP = AFM/RPM

Does it have vvt by chance?

do you have scramble boost enabled on the Profec ?

Thanks for reply,

Effectively, in the log i can see that TP shows the same spike.
No vvt, no scramble.

I'm looking forward to add the boost signal to the Nistune software to log it all together.
I think the best way is to simulate a DLP logger channel, right? i've some arduinos and other uC to try it...
Matt, may i use both, innovate lc1 (actual) and DLP at the same time, with nistune software, right?

thanks guys!

BTW. My nick "DLP" is for my last name "De La Prida", no relation at all with DLP Devices :D

You would need to wire the LC-1 0-5 volt output into the arduino and set that up as 'AFR' input and have boost on the second input.

Innovate LC-1 cannot be setup as the RHS (second wideband unit)

Thanks Matt.

I spend more time tuning the EBC and the spike practically disappeared, so finally realizing i must have a way to log boost signal...

which DLP A/D devices are supported in Nistune ?

Only the DLP- IO8 (or using an Ardunino dev board with my code to simulate this device)
