stock z31 blow through maf

Post by rsfire »

So I've been researching blow through mafs a bit and have a couple questions. Has anyone run a stock maf in blow through configuration? I've read some people did and it ran great. But I've also read its super hard to tune since the air densities and temps are ao far off from stock configuration due to compressed, heated, and turbulent air. Any thoughts or experience?

Had both on my R31 and worked fine. Only issue was MAF hot wire contamination post turbo

Oh ok that makes sense, is t just oil and stuff from the turbo and stuff. Do you just routinely take it out and spray it down with maf cleaner?

look into a PMAS spec'd for a Z32 or a HPX MAF, designed for blow though, just have to do the 5V mod to the ecu, and recalibrate Nistune accordingly.
