A local here in Japan said a performance shop opened up his ECU and modified something instead of installing a GTR resistor pack or individual resistors.
Anyone know if this is actually possible or was he mistaken?
Are you able to install a single higher ohm/watt resistor somewhere on the injector feed wire instead of individual resistors for each?

The HCR32/BNR32 ECUs are suited for high impedance injectors (about 16 ohm or so)
GTR (440CC) injectors are 4 ohms so need dropping resistors about 12 ohm or so to reduce the current on the drivers. If not running these on either ECU then eventually they may get too hot and burn out
