Z32 300ZX Base Map

Hey guys,

i've recently installed Bosch 1000cc EV14 injectors into my Z32 300ZX, installed nistune and a GM flex fuel sensor. Now i've used a factory ROM, gone into "resize injectors" and changed the values from 370cc > 996cc (512 > 190 T.I.M). I have also adjusted the latency as per the data sheet supplied with the injectors. When i start the car my Wideband will read 14.8AFR for about 10 seconds then just go lean off the scale. I have tried adjusting the latency, K constant and even the fuel map itself but the car just runs extremely lean. Battery is pretty much dead but using jumper leads i had it at a constant 13.5v while running. I have attached the BIN file i am using, if there is anything i have missed please let me know.

Cliff notes:
Installed 1000cc Injectors
Installed Nistune
Resized Injectors
Adjusted Latency
Runs Lean at idle

Thank You.

Nem.

Increase your TIM further until AFRs are 14.7:1 on cruise with O2 sensing on

Your fuel map will be very flat with 1000CC injectors. Probably around 25-30 filtered values

Refer to the injection section (Sections 8-10) in the software user manual. I've updated it containing info how to tune this in with feature pack

Ok i have adjusted the TIM, however it is now at 380 to achieve a 14.8AFR. I would have thought this is too low of an adjustment from factory considering the injector size difference? Either way i'm loving nistune, was always interested in tuning but never did anything other than SAFC/SITC tuning(more like adjustments). I'm planning to go to unigroup engineering for a one on one dyno tuning course once i register the 300ZX and get it in a driveable state :)

Its not too low. Attached is what I used in this ECU patched into my R34 for testing to give you an idea

Just a quick update, on 11psi boost I'm hitting 4.675v afm voltage and 37% injectory duty cycle with the afrs in the low 11s and 17 degrees up top. Not bad at all for stock turbos!

Only problem is it seems i have been tuning with a big boost leak, afrs are all over the place on full noise and when i tried my 17psi boost setting it only reached 12.5psi and afrs dipped down to 9.6. I'll check all my pipework and try again but it was pretty good fun!

Sorted out my pipework but i can still only get 14PSI peak boost and when i do set it to 14 the AFR's dip stupid rich (11.5 to 10.4afr)... Also if i set the high load areas to raw values of 30 for example, AFR's will swing wildly by 1 full afr point. I ended up turning the boost down to 9PSI and i managed to get the AFR's between 11.2-11.6 on full noise. I decided to keep it there to allow some safety till i sort this issue out.

It seems the modified balance tube or the push lock fittings may be leaking, i will update as i go along :)

Fixed the boost leaks and touched up the tune, wow what a difference! Hitting 45% idc and 4.705v in the afm, the car is pulling really well. Cant wait to get some e85 into it!

Yeah boost leaks can be a pain!

Well i have an issue, my flex maps do not work anymore? No matter what value i put into the fuel compensation map there are no change to AFR's. It was working previously and just stopped now.

I just retuned the car to run on pure E85 now and i must say the power difference is massive! The car is much much quicker than before.

Duty cyle on the 1000cc injectors is at 67% on 18PSI (11.8AFR)
AFM is at 4.710v

will try 22-23psi when i get a chance. I am taking the car down to WSID to see what i can squeeze out of it and may take it for a dyno run on monday to see how much power its making now, any guesses?

Need the tune file and log attached showing the issue
