I know that 300zx ecu with some modifications + nistune type2 for rb25 , will work.
But what about type2 for 300zx ? Is this the same board ?

Yes Z32 300ZX is supported by default for Type 2 boards
On a separate now, we can now get R32 RB20DET ECUs running the RB25DET issue free with VCT (with one modification) we now advise all customers to use this ECU instead of the 300ZX ECU for RB25DET setups
Some tuners have reported inconsistent results using the 300ZX ECU with the RB25DET so as a result I no longer recommend this setup. I personally found using Z32 on my R34 there were problems with getting the TPS idle right (due to lack of TPS idle switch on RB25 throttle body), the knock sensing needs to be completely disabled (due to different knock sensors) and issues getting the tune right with larger injectors

so after ecu modification i just need to put bin file for rb25 and it should work ?
or have to use base image programmer to reprogram type2 board from 300zx to r33 ??

You can just upload the Z32 for RB25 BIN file Z32_FOR_RB25DET_41P03_MT_v3.bin
There is no special firmware to use with an RB25 so reflash is not required

Old post, but my solution to above problems was to:
1) regarding TPS idle switch. My R33 Rb25 had the switch on the TPS, but a dummy plug there. I simply found another pigtail TPS plug from wrecker and wired up the TPS idle to the Z32 ECU.
2) Regarding knock, I bought the Z32 Knock sensor and made a stud that would allow me to bolt it on. The stock R33 knock sensors are bolt in type (they have threads on them). So I cut one apart and drilled a hole through it. Then I tapped the hole for an M8 stud and epoxied it in. Then turn that into the block where it originally went and slip the Z32 knock sensor on the stud and bolt it down.
3) I haven't had experience with larger injector problems.
Hope this helps anyone who already has a Z32 ECU. As a bonus, they are a lot easier to find for dirt cheap here in North America.
