Hey guys , finally got time these holidays to work on tuning. After doing a few runs and grabbing some logs i noticed the ecu is dropping 5* of timing at 6k Rpm in third and all of 4th gear in high load WOT. This finally explains the sluggish transition from 3rd to 4th at WOT. I have the 04uxx r32 ecu running my r33 that has no knock maps right?, my detonation ignition retard is set to 7 so should be dropping 7* not 5* if im knocking. Everythings fairly conservative as far as im aware in terms of timing and fuel.

secondly on deceleration i am running too rich, drops to around 10 afr sometimes even when cruising around low load between shifts/ coming to a stop. is this caused by my BOV? i tried messing with fuel cut and recover with no success.

Do you have a knock sensor fault code?

What if you turn off the knock sensor (using 'K' button) on the map?

The ECU will retard upto the maximum retard, and it gradually decreasing timing depending on amount of knock
